Service Description
Trick or tease! Embrace your inner wicked witch, flirty Frankenstein, or Vegas show-ghoul with Speakeasy Revue's Halloween Beginner Bump and Grind Workshop! Come in your favorite costume and dance along to Nina Simone's witchy classic, "I Put A Spell On You" while learning beginner-friendly bump and grind burlesque moves to take to your next Halloween party or share with a partner. Throughout this 2hr workshop you will learn stage presence, a variety of classic bump and grind dance moves and technique and walk away with a choreographed burlesque combo to a Halloween classic. What should I wear to class? Whatever you are most comfortable moving around in! Get festive with your favorite Halloween costume or keep it casual. Dance or workout wear is common, and shoes you can comfortably move around in are a must. This workshop focuses on bump and grind dance and does not require any specialized costume pieces. Will there be stripping? This workshop focuses on beginner-friendly bump and grind, commonly used in burlesque. While we may incorporate elements of tease, this workshop does not involve any reveals or clothing removals. Who is teaching? Absinthe Allure is an established burlesque performer in Southern Oregon and producer of Speakeasy Revue. In addition to performing, Absinthe has been teaching weekly burlesque classes since spring of 2024.
