Speakeasy Revue’s Green Hour Burlesque invokes the smokey, sexy, and psychedelic essence so deeply associated with the American speakeasy, absinthe, and marijuana.

Why Green Hour?

In the 1860’s, Absinthe became so popular in bars, bistros, cafes, and cabarets that the 5pm hour became known as “the green hour”. Absinthe, the spirit, has a tumultuous history and is best known for its rumored hallucinogenic qualities.

Audience Considerations:

Speakeasy Revue productions feature striptease burlesque and it is common for performers' costumes to include g-string and pasties.

Shows may include sexual innuendo, partial nudity, and/or the illusion of nudity.

Loud music, flashing lights, and fog machine may be used during the course of the production.
